Terms and Conditions

Bookings are confirmed once a completed booking form and any required deposit have been received.
Full payment must be made in advance of your event.
Your booking period must include time for setting up and clearing away.

The maximum capacity of the hall is 56 people, and this must not be exceeded at any time.
The hall must only be used for the purpose described at the time of booking.
Sub-letting or transferring your booking to another party is not permitted.

The hirer must be 18 years or over and must remain on the premises for the duration of the booking.
The hirer is responsible for:
The supervision and conduct of all attendees
The safe and appropriate use of the building and grounds
The hall must not be used for any unlawful or unsafe activity.

A refundable deposit may be required for certain types of bookings.
Hirers are responsible for any damage, breakages, or loss during their hire period.
Any costs for repair, replacement, or additional cleaning may be deducted from the deposit.

Cancellations should be made as soon as possible in writing.
Refunds will depend on the amount of notice given and whether the hall can be re-let.
In exceptional circumstances, the hall management reserves the right to cancel a booking (a full refund will be given if this occurs).

The hall must be left clean, tidy, and in the condition it was found.
This includes:
Returning tables and chairs to their storage areas
Cleaning any kitchen areas used
Removing all rubbish and personal items
Additional cleaning charges may apply if the hall is not left appropriately.

The kitchen is available for use but must be cleaned after use.
Hirers should bring any additional supplies they require (e.g. catering items, tea towels).
All equipment must be used safely and returned to its proper place.

Hirers must familiarise themselves with fire exits and emergency procedures.
Fire exits must be kept clear at all times.
Children must be supervised at all times.
Any accidents or incidents should be reported to the hall management.scription

Alcohol may only be served with prior agreement and in line with licensing requirements.
Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the building.
Hirers are responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Cambuskenneth is a quiet residential village — please be respectful of neighbours.
Noise levels must be kept to a reasonable level, particularly in the evening.
All events must finish and the hall vacated by the agreed time.

Hirers are responsible for the safety of their guests and belongings.
The hall accepts no liability for loss, damage, or injury during the period of hire.
Organisations or groups may be required to hold appropriate public liability insurance.

No fixings (e.g. nails, pins, tape) should be used that may damage walls or surfaces.
Decorations must be removed at the end of the hire period.
Access arrangements (e.g. keys or codes) must not be shared and should be used only for the agreed booking.

By confirming your booking, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions and to take full responsibility for the safe and respectful use of Cambuskenneth Village Hall.
